District of Madhepura is badly affected by floods along with other districts like Supaul,Araria and Purnia. This part of Saharsa division is affected by flood after 100 years, as the Kosi river which used to flow about 80km west of Madhepura,till last week is now changed her course and turned the eastern parts of Supaul and Madhepura into her new bed.
